I'm a senior software engineer and researcher interested in software deployment, configuration management, software architectures, and free and open source software. Currently, I am employed by Mendix, a company that provides a low-code application development platform.
Previously, I worked at Conference Compass where I was responsible for setting up a continuous build platform for 100+ Android/iOS apps, and constructing and maintaining the cloud deployment infrastructure for configuring the content of the apps.
Before that I was a PhD student at the Software Engineering Research Group, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. My research was part of the Pull Deployment of Services (PDS) project and addresses software deployment issues in healthcare environments. The project was supervised by Eelco Visser and promoted by Arie van Deursen.
During my research, I have also been visiting Philips Healthcare, Best, The Netherlands, where I investigated the application of software deployment techniques in healthcare environments.
Except for my work and passion for technology, I also have other interests. One of my hobbies is a playing various types of percussion instruments such as drums, xylophone, vibraphone and kettledrums at a musical association in the town where I live.
